13:25 – 15:00 – Module 1: Symptomatic Chronic Heart Failure – Disease overview, guidelines and referrals and Module 2: Symptomatic Chronic Heart Failure – First line evidence-based treatment options.
15:00 – 15:10 – BREAK
15:10 – 16:00 – Simplifying the management of adults with symptomatic chronic heart failure and Annual Heart failure review – What to expect.

 

Speakers

Paul Rishton is a UK Registered General Nurse, He started his career in Renal Medicine and then moved to Cardiology, where he spent the last 20 years. Initially developing skills in acute cardiology as a Specialist Nurse in Chest pain Assessment and Thrombolysis/PPCI, and the last 9 year as a lead for a team for Heart Failure Nurse in a community NHS trust in Sefton.

Dr Ameet Bakhai – Consultant Cardiologist

R&D Director at the Royal Free London NHS Trust UK, a Harvard Scholar, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and the European Society of Cardiology.

He has enabled innovation of drugs, devices and diagnostics in multiple cardiac areas of heart failure, atrial fibrillation, acute coronary syndromes and risk factor reduction for cardiovascular events.

He is a founder, author and has published over 100 papers and received a national award for a decade of work in clinical cardiovascular research from the Royal College of Physicians and is a recognised for Clinical Trials & Research, Technology Innovation and Medical Education.
